 IB Vacancies 2022: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has issued the Intelligence Bureau Recruitment 2022 Notification PDF to select qualified candidates for the positions of Security Assistant/Executive (SA/Exe) and Multi-Tasking Staff/General (MTS/Gen) in the Intelligence Bureau. It is a post in the General Central Service, Group ‘C’ (Non-gazetted, non-Ministerial). IB has advertised 1671 positions for Security Assistant/Executive (SA/Exe) and Multi-Tasking Staff/General (MTS/Gen) for the year 2022.

About IB:

The Intelligence Bureau (IB) is India’s domestic internal security and counter-intelligence agency, reporting to the Ministry of Home Affairs. It was founded in 1887 as the Central Special Branch and is widely regarded as the world’s oldest such organisation.

It was responsible for both domestic and foreign intelligence until 1968. After that, the Research and Analysis Wing was formed specifically for foreign intelligence, and the IB was primarily assigned the role of domestic intelligence and internal security. Tapan Deka, the current director of the IB, took over from Arvind Kumar on June 24, 2022.

IB Security Assistant and MTS Recruitment Qualification:

Matriculation (10th class pass) or equivalent from a recognised Board of Education, as well as possession of a domicile certificate from the state in which the candidate is applying.

Knowledge of at least one local language.

Age Limit (as on 25-11-2022)

• The minimum age is 18 years.
• SA/Executive Maximum Age: 25 Years
• MTS has a maximum age limit of 27 years.
• According to the rules, age relaxation is permitted.

Selection Procedure for IB Recruitment 2022:

The IB Recruitment 2022 selection criteria include three stages of the recruitment process:

Tier 1 (Common for SA/Exe and MTS/Gen)

Tier 2 (Stage 2) (Part-1) Offline Descriptive Exam (Common for SA/Exe and MTS/Gen)

Tier 2 (Part 2) Spoken ability (only for SA/Executives)

Tier 3 (interview/personality test)

Exam Pattern for IB Recruitment 2022:

Objective type MCQs online exam divided into 5 parts with 20 questions of 1 mark each.

For each incorrect answer, a quarter-point deduction will be applied.
